Free-range T-shirt Competition
The 2010 Free-range t-shirt competition has hit the headlines! Our ‘18 and under’ category winner, Daniel Kostine, made the pages of his local paper promoting his winning t-shirt design.
Daniels design, chosen by celebrity judge Susannah Constantine has been a huge hit on our online shop. Daniel’s mother Sonja said:
"I am really proud. We used to have our own chickens and Daniel was totally fascinated. He loved collecting eggs and helping out. He is very concerned about animal welfare and he really wanted to do something to help."
As a result of all our entrants, winners and coverage of the competition more and more people are choosing higher welfare chicken and eggs over intensive and standard alternatives.
We were so impressed by the creativity and inspiration shown in all the designs that we didn’t pity our Judges Hugh, Brian and Susannah for having to choose the winners. Take a look at the winning designs.
- Hugh chose Richie Ryan's "Hugh Guevara" design
- Brian chose Nicola Harris's "Proud to buy free-range" design
- Susannah chose 6-year-old Daniel Kostine's "Whatever your age" design (Winner of our 18 and under category)
- And special commendation by Celia Lewis and Compassion in World Farming Chief Executive, Philip Lymbery, go to Liza Sawyer for "The Lone Freeranger" and Andy Powell for "Get your pecker out"
