Donate to ChickenOut!

"We will use 100% of your donation for the fight to improve chicken welfare, end the unnecessary suffering of both egg-laying and meat birds, and supporting our on-going campaign for a free range future."
Â
We've achieved a great deal but now we urgently need to raise £100,000 to step up the campaign and give all chickens a free-range life.
Worldwide, around 50 billion chickens are reared for their meat every year. The majority of them are intensively farmed in conditions which cause pain and suffering.
As a result of persistent and high profile campaigning from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Compassion in World Farming, sales of free range and higher welfare chicken are starting to grow. In spite of this, around 90% of chickens reared in the UK still live out their short life crammed into dark, barren sheds.
FARMING DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY – BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE IT
A donation of just £20 or whatever you can afford could help us take our campaign to more shoppers and retailers. We believe that people need to understand the truth about intensive chicken farming and its impact on the lives of so many animals.
If you can, please consider making a small monthly gift to the Chicken Out! campaign. Regular monthly gifts are important because it takes time, money and persistence to tackle the vested interests of the intensive chicken industry. £5 a month could allow us to lobby supermarkets and food companies to drop bog standard intensive chicken and make it easier for consumers to make more ethical choices.
