Chicken Out! Tour

Throughout August and September the Chicken Out! tour visited 11 key towns and cities to highlight the unacceptable practice of the intensive factory farming of chickens and to encourage consumers to choose higher welfare standards when buying chicken.

The tour spanned 39 days to represent the pitiful, short life of an intensively farmed meat chicken. Launching in Birmingham on the 10th of August, the team made their last stop at Axminster, Britain's first ‘free range town’, on the 17th of September. Across the UK thousands of local residents were able to sign up to a free-range future.
